My journey into the wellness industry didn't begin exactly as planned. In high school, I thougtht I wanted to be a hairstylist and makeup artist and enrolled in the Cosmetology program at Honolulu Community College with that goal in mind. Although I quickly realized it wasn't the right fit, I was determined to finish what I started. Along the way, I discovered a genuine love for facials, waxing, nail care, and especially pedicures—services that allowed me to connect with clients in a more meaningful, hands-on way.

After graduating, I continued my education in the Esthetician program, where I developed a deeper understanding of skin health. It was during this time that I found myself most drawn to the massage portion of each treatment. Once I entered massage school, everything clicked—I knew I had found my true calling. Over the years, I've trained in a variety of modalities, with reflexology becoming a favorite, and have had the privilege of working in both luxury resort spas and intimate boutique settings across the island. Each experience shaped me into the practitioner I am today.

Starting my own business was never part of the original plan, but it has become one of the greatest blessings of both my career and my life. It has given me the freedom to create customized, holistic treatment plans for my clients while expanding my practice to include modalities such as cupping therapy, ear seeding, and energy work.

One of the biggest motivations for taking this path was my family. As my youngest daughter prepared to start preschool, I knew I wanted the flexibility to be present for the moments that matter most—field trips, school events, and everyday milestones. Owning my own business has allowed me to build a career I love while creating the balance and freedom to show up fully for my children.

I'M A FOREVER STUDENT
I recently graduated from KapiÊ»olani Community College’s New Media Arts: Interface Program in May 2026. I enrolled at KCC to earn the college credits required for acupuncture school, as the cosmetology and esthetics programs I completed at Honolulu Community College are trade programs and do not award college credits.

Since I wasn’t required to pursue a specific degree or set of prerequisite courses, I chose to study something that interested me and could benefit both my business and other small businesses. Through the program, I gained experience in graphic design, digital media, web design and development, motion graphics, brand identity, and typography.

I’ve been accepted into the Institute of Clinical Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ICAOM) and will begin the Fall 2026 semester. For the next three years, I’ll be a full-time student pursuing my dream of becoming a licensed acupuncturist. While I’ll continue seeing clients, my availability will be more limited as I balance school and work.
